Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Gahr Area Band Concert this past week! It was an incredible evening of music and community. A huge thank you to all the parents who helped run concessions, merchandise, and the gift basket raffle! We also want to thank everyone who supported the program by purchasing gift basket raffle tickets and by dining at Chick-fil-A on Thursday — every bit of support helps our students!

On Tuesday, the Winter Guard was recognized at the ABCUSD School Board Meeting for their WGASC Championship win this past season! Thank you to the ABC Unified School District, our Board Members, our Superintendent Dr. Zietlow, and the Gahr HS Administration for their continued support.

Good news! We’re taking in our FUNDrive donations this Saturday, but there’s still time to donate your bagged clothing, shoes, linens, and other soft goods throughout the rest of this week. Your donations go a long way in supporting the Gahr Instrumental Music Program!

Jazz I delivered a great performance this past Saturday at the RCC Jazz Festival, earning 2nd place in the Heavy “Red” Division. Students had an incredible experience listening to other talented high school groups and the RCC Jazz Orchestra featuring the amazing Bob McChesney! A huge thank you to the parents who came out to support – whether by cheering in the audience, providing water and snacks, helping with transportation, and going as far as to help load all the instruments so we were able to get back to Gahr sooner. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Both Jazz I and Jazz II are now gearing up for our final Jazz Concert of the year on Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30PM in the Gahr MPR. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the year strong!

JAZZ CONCERT NEXT WEDNESDAY 5/21

Join us for an incredible “Evening of Jazz” next Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30PM in the Gahr High School MPR! The concert will feature performances by the Ross Middle School Jazz Band, Gahr High School Jazz II, and Gahr High School Jazz I. Come enjoy a night of fantastic music and support our talented student musicians. Admission is free, and all are welcome!
