WE HAVE A BUSY WEEK AHEAD AS WE PREPARE FOR FRIDAY’S CIF HOME FOOTBALL GAME AND THE GAHR INVITATIONAL ON SATURDAY! WE HAVE A FEW SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS DUE TO THE HOME GAME, THE WET PRACTICE FIELD, AND THE EARLIER SUNSET AFTER THE TIME CHANGE. PLEASE REVIEW ALL THE INFO BELOW SO WE CAN HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
CIF HOME FOOTBALL GAME THIS FRIDAY 11/6
The Gahr Marching Gladiators will be performing at the CIF Home Football Game this Friday, November 6th! Because we have a long day on Saturday, we will release students to put away props and equipment and change after the halftime performance. On Friday, all students will be excused from 5th and 6th period for a final rehearsal and run-through in the stadium until 4:15PM. Call time for the game is 5:45PM to change into full uniform/costume and warm up. Make sure you have your flip folder & lyre.
PARENTS: We will need help at the game with concessions, merchandise, and pushing front ensemble equipment and props. Please click here to help out at the game. This is also a great mock run for Saturday’s performance at the Gahr Invitational!
GAHR INVITATIONAL THIS SATURDAY 11/7
This Saturday, November 7th, is the Gahr Invitational Field Tournament! This all-day event features 32 bands, and we need everyone’s help to make it a success!!
WE HAVE A MANDATORY MEETING FOR ALL PARENTS & ALUMNI TOMORROW, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD AT 7:00PM IN THE STADIUM. We will be doing a walk-through of how we will be hosting the field show tournament and then will split into different volunteer areas you signed up for. If you have not signed up for a shift yet, please click here to sign up and volunteer!
SODA & WATER DONATIONS ARE ALSO DUE TOMORROW, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD! You can drop them off to Mr. Loney before/during/after school. You can also bring donations directly to the stadium when you come for the parent meeting. Color Guard baked good items can be dropped off later in the week – even up through Friday evening or Saturday morning. Please write your name on your donation items.
STUDENTS: If you are interested in hosting a band or you know any alumni who may want to help, please let Mr. Loney or Joon Mock know ASAP. We will have a quick SHOW HOST MEETING with Joon right after rehearsal on Thursday from 6:00-6:30PM. Thank you!
SENIOR DINNER AT LUCILLE'S BAR-B-QUE — THURSDAY 11/19
Join us Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 7:00PM at Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que as we celebrate the Class of 2027 at our annual Senior Dinner! Dinner is complimentary for senior band & color guard students. Parents and immediate family are welcome to attend for just $40 per person. Please RSVP and submit payment for family meals by Friday, November 13, by contacting Tania or Dee Dee.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND & COLOR GUARD NIGHT – FRIDAY 11/13
“Middle School Band Night” is this Friday, November 13th! High school students have call time at 4:15PM with pizza provided for dinner and setting up for the event. Middle schoolers will be checking in at 5:30PM at the stadium. We’ll have sectionals and a short rehearsal, followed by a "Show & Tell" performance at 7:00PM in the stadium! If you are a high school parent, this is also a great chance to see the field show in full uniform from the bleachers since we will not be doing a push on/off for this performance.
