DISNEYLAND COMMUNITY ARTS SHOWCASE ON TUESDAY 12/10
We will be performing in the Disneyland Performing Arts Showcase on Tuesday 12/10 at Disneyland Park stepping off at 3:20PM! STUDENTS NEED TO BRING CLOTHES FOR FULL UNIFORM, A SANTA HAT, AND MONEY FOR LUNCH AND DINNER (APPROX $25-30). We have one final parade rehearsal tomorrow from 3:00-5:30PM. In order to participate, students must be caught up with all band donations, attend all parade rehearsals, have a minimum of a 2.0GPA and no Fs, and have music/work memorized. Please talk to Mr. Loney if you have any issues with the requirements. THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE YOU FROM HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. PLEASE TALK TO YOUR TEACHERS TO GET ASSIGNMENTS AHEAD OF TIME.

We're selling premium quality nuts from J&N Products perfect for gift giving or baking. In the past, we've had students raise over $800 from this one fundraiser! Each bag of nuts you sell will earn you $5.00 profit towards your account. This can help with donations for winter drumline or winter guard. We accept payments in cash or checks made payable to "Gahr Band Boosters.” All orders must be turned into the drop box by this Friday, December 13th and will be delivered on Wednesday, December 18th (before Winter Break). WINTER DRUMLINE UPDATE
Thank you so much to everyone who came to Friday's Winter Drumline meeting! We have a fantastic season planned and will have our auditions Wednesday and Thursday, December 18th and 19th from 3:00-5:30PM. Please read the attached information and bring back the Parental Consent form. The Costume Deposit of $200 is due no later than Friday, December 20th.
FINAL DONATION PAST DUE
The final donation of $125 was due last week. We cannot pay our instructional staff or for field show competitions without your donation. Checks are made payable to "Gahr Band Boosters." If you are making a cash payment, please get a receipt from Mr. Loney before turning it into the Drop Box. You can also make a payment online here. Please communicate with Mr. Loney if you have any issues with your financial obligation. Students must be caught up with donations to participate in Winter Drumline, Winter Guard, and the upcoming Disneyland performance trip.
HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT 12/17
Get in the holiday spirit with music from the bands of Gahr High School! We'll be playing all your favorite tunes of the season. The Holiday Band Concert is Tuesday, December 17th at 6:30PM at the Whitney High School Theater. Admission is just $6/adults, $4/students with ID, and children 3 and under are free. Bring extra money for tamales and baked goods. Due to the maximum capacity of the theater, ALL TICKETS MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED or we cannot guarantee entry. Children 3 and under are free if they are sitting on your lap. If you would like them to have their own seat, you must purchase a ticket for them. Buy tickets online at:
Concert attire for band and percussion students is all black and Santa/holiday hat. Solid black, long-sleeve, button-up, collared dress shirt. Black slacks (no jeans). Black belt for pants. Long, black socks and black dress shoes (or marching band shoes). Girls have the option of wearing a full-length, all black concert gown (no skirts). Students that do not have the correct attire may not perform at the concert and their grade will be adjusted according to the grading policy. No exceptions. (i.e. white socks, tennis shoes, short sleeve shirt, jeans…).

6:29AM CALL TIME for Disneyland performing arts showcase. Bring warm clothes (it will get COLD at night), money for lunch & dinner ($25-30), instrument, clothes for FULL UNIFORM - black compression shirt/shorts, long black socks, marching shoes, and Santa hat.
6:30AM Load instruments, flags, banner, and uniforms with BLUE SLEEVE into Gahr trailer (BUSSES WILL NOT BE STAYING, SO NOTHING GOES UNDER BUS). You cannot bring instruments, sticks, pads, or drum keys into the park. Parents check uniform bags.
6:50AM Load busses
7:00AM Depart for Disneyland - 1313 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802
7:30AM Shuttle to security/main gates
7:50AM Line up in 2s to get tickets, show compass check point

1:30PM Meet guide and head backstage to change, warm up, and get ready. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE DRESSING ROOMS. DON'T LOSE YOUR TICKET BECAUSE YOU NEED IT FOR RE-ENTRY!
3:20PM Parade step-off from “It’s a Small World” towards Main Street USA
3:45PM Approximate end time, then walk backstage to change
5:00PM Approximate re-entry into Disneyland - YOU NEED TO SHOW YOUR TICKET TO GET BACK INTO THE PARK. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE DISNEYLAND PARK and must be in GROUPS OF FOUR OR MORE. Make sure you eat dinner with your group.
10:00PM Meet back at the compass check point immediately following the fireworks. DO NOT BE LATE. Shuttle back to busses ASAP.

11:00PM Unload trailer - Everyone helps. Transfer uniforms onto racks.
