DISNEYLAND COMMUNITY ARTS SHOWCASE 12/18
In the next few weeks, we will be preparing for the Disneyland Performing Arts Showcase! Gahr HS will be stepping-off at 3:21PM from "It's a Small World" towards "Main Street, USA." In order to participate, students must attend all parade rehearsals, have a minimum of a 2.0GPA, have music/work memorized, and be caught up with all fall donations. Hydrate and eat a good breakfast. Pack everything you need the day before, including black socks, marching shoes, Santa hat, warm clothes for later, and money for two meals in the park ($20-30).

HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT 12/20
Get in the holiday spirit with music from the Gahr High School Concert Bands, Jazz Band, and a special performance by the Color Guard! We'll be playing all your favorite tunes of the season. The concert starts at 7:00PM at the Whitney High School Theater. Call time for Color Guard is 4:30PM for a dress rehearsal, call time for winds and percussion is 5:00PM to unload equipment and do a sound check on stage. Admission is just $5/adults, $3/students with ID, and children 3 and under are free. Bring extra money for tamales and baked goods. Due to the maximum capacity of the theater, ALL TICKETS MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED ONLINE or we cannot guarantee entry. TICKET WEBSITE:
Concert attire for band and percussion students is all black and Santa/holiday hat. Solid black, long-sleeve, button-up, collared dress shirt. Black slacks (no jeans). Black belt for pants. Long, black socks and black dress shoes (or marching band shoes). Girls have the option of wearing a full-length, all black concert gown (no skirts). Students that do not have the correct attire may not perform at the concert and their grade will be adjusted according to the grading policy. No exceptions. (i.e. white socks, tennis shoes, short sleeve shirt, jeans…).
We are asking each family to bring a dessert item! We'll be offering these outside the theater during intermission for a suggested donation. The boosters will have beverages such as hot chocolate and coffee. Please bring your food donations directly to the theater at the 5:00PM sound check. Thank you!

3:21PM Parade Step-Off (from “It’s a Small World” toward “Main Street, USA”)

9:30PM Watch fireworks! We will be leaving immediately following the fireworks.
10:00PM Meet outside front entrance of Disneyland - DO NOT BE LATE.
11:00PM Approximate return time at Gahr HS. Everyone helps to unload.
