CONGRATS ON A GREAT MINI CAMP!

Gahr Students and Parents,

Congratulations on an incredible four days of Mini Band & Guard Camp! We had an amazing turnout with over 140+ students in attendance. Our new members did an awesome job picking things up quickly, and our veteran members led by example with their leadership, energy, and positivity. We’re off to a fantastic start and gearing up for an unforgettable season!

A huge thank you to our amazing instructors for sharing their knowledge and excitement with our students throughout the week. Thank you also to all the parents and alumni who helped with check-in, dinners, and the ice cream social. We’re also incredibly grateful to those who donated items from our wish list, and to the parents who got a head start behind the scenes and working on props for the show.

For your convenience, this Wednesday, June 11, Andersen Chiropractic will be on campus to complete athletic physicals for marching band and color guard students. They will be available in the Gahr High School Band Room between 2-5PM. Please bring $20 cash. We will have the required physical forms already printed for you. This is the quickest and easiest way to complete your athletic physical.

Front Ensemble and Battery will rehearse this Wednesday, June 11th from 5-9PM. Color Guard has practice on both Wednesday, June 11th and Thursday, June 12th from 5-9PM each day. Remember to stay hydrated, eat a full meal before rehearsal, bring a hat and water, and wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes.

Everyone – winds, battery, front ensemble, and color guard – will return for our full Band Camp from Monday, July 21st through Wednesday, August 6th. We will have more detailed information as we get closer to camp.

🎺 DRUM CORPS AT THE ROSE BOWL!

Experience Drum Corps LIVE on Saturday, July 12 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena! The lineup includes Mandarins, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Devils, Boston Crusaders, and more. It’s one of the most fun events of the summer – and Mr. Lopez will buy you a McDonald’s cookie if you go (for real). 🍪

✅ 2025 PROGRAM DONATIONS – MARCHING BAND

The student contribution for the 2025 Gahr High School Marching Band is $675. This donation helps cover essential program expenses, including instructional staff, equipment and instruments, music, production costs, costumes, and food throughout the season.

Your support ensures our students receive the high-level, specialized instruction that motivates them to grow – both as performers and as individuals. These skills translate beyond the field and into the classroom, promoting discipline, confidence, and teamwork.

Donations can be paid in full or broken into the following payment schedule:

$175 – 1st Donation – Due June 2, 2025
$175 – 2nd Donation – Due July 21, 2025
$175 – 3rd Donation – Due August 29, 2025
$150 – 4th Donation – Due September 26, 2025

If you are in a position to do so, we highly encourage families to pay the entire donation to help us with upfront costs – such as props, equipment, and instruments. Please note that missing any part of the Mini Camp, Band Camp, or rehearsals does not excuse you from a donation.

🩺 ATHLETIC CLEARANCE THROUGH FAMILYID

All students in the 2025–2026 Gahr High School Marching Band must complete their athletic clearance through the FamilyID website by Monday, July 21, 2025:

For your convenience, we will be offering two on-campus athletic physicals through Andersen Chiropractic. Please bring $20 cash and attend one of the following:

This Wednesday, June 11th anytime from 2:00PM-5:00PM
Wednesday, July 16th anytime from 10:00AM-1:00PM

Print this two-page form and bring it with you to your physical. You will scan or take a picture of the form and upload it to the FamilyID website. Please note that all students will also need to purchase an ASB card and pay $75 a transportation fee.
