PARENT & STUDENT MATTRESS MEETING TOMORROW
Tomorrow (Wednesday 9/17) we have an important PARENT & STUDENT Mattress Kick-Off Meeting with Matt the mattress guy at 6:30 p.m. in the Band Room! This is a huge fundraiser, with a program goal of $10,000 and we need your help to make this happen. Furthermore, we are the main group on the Gahr campus spearheading the campaign - with other groups piggy-backing off of us.
HOME FOOTBALL GAME 9/19
This Friday (9/19) is yet another home game vs. Artesia HS! We will be wearing FULL MARCHING BAND UNIFORM FOR THE GAME! All winds, battery, and front ensemble MUST WEAR LONG, BLACK SOCKS along with your polished, black Dinkle marching shoes. Always wear a pair of PE/athletic shorts under the uniform and a plain white t-shirt. After this Friday, we won't have another football game for 4 weeks!
2ND DONATION PAST DUE
The 2nd donation of $100 was due this past Friday (9/12). Donations are crucial so we can pay our instructional staff on time and register for field show tournaments. We cannot run the Gahr Instrumental Music Program without your donations. The Gahr Band Boosters now accept credit cards! Email our band president DeeDee Varney and she can set up a time to pay with our eCard reader. If you need help, we have some excellent fundraisers including the premium nut sale and sponsorship letters.
NEXT TUESDAY REHEARSAL 9/23/14
Right now Back to School Night is scheduled for next Tuesday evening, September 23rd. If this is the case, we will have Tuesday's rehearsal after school from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. However, Back to School Night may be replaced to a "Report Card Night" in November - in which case we will have our normal, Tuesday evening rehearsal from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. The students have a lot of material to learn before our first competition and thank you in advance for your flexibility.
