STUDENTS: Good job this week learning the parade march and thanks for your hard work. Thank you to the 26 students who showed up for our first Indoor Percussion workshop of 2016. If you're interested in joining, our 2nd Indoor Percussion Workshop is this Wednesday from 6:00-8:30pm in the band room - no experience required! Winter Guard Workshops start this week, Tuesday-Thursday from 3-5PM each day. We will be starting after-school concert rehearsals this week for Concert Band and Wind Ensemble. We have a very short amount of time to prepare for the Holiday Concert - show up with your music individually prepared.
DISNEY COMMUNITY ARTS SHOWCASE TOMORROW!
We will be performing tomorrow, December 7th in the Disney Community Arts Showcase! CALL TIME TOMORROW IS 6:45AM IN THE BAND ROOM. Everyone - including the Color Guard - will be wearing Santa/Holiday hats instead of shakos. The boosters will have some santa hats you can borrow, but please try to have your own. Make sure you have everything you need for the parade - Santa/Holiday hat, instrument, long, black socks, white compression/t-shirt, compression/athletic shorts, polished black marching shoes, etc. You are not required to wear "Gahr" attire in the park - but make sure you bring a warm jacket for the evening. Bring a backpack or bag to keep your marching clothes/shoes that will go in the trailer after we load. Hydrate tonight and eat a good breakfast. See itinerary below.

You have one more week to sell premium quality nuts from J&N Products - perfect for holiday gift giving or holiday baking! Each bag of nuts you sell will earn you $5.00 towards your account. This can help fulfill outstanding obligations or to start fundraising for winter drumline or winter guard. Nut orders and payments in cash or check made payable to “J&N Nuts” must be turned into the drop box by Friday, December 11 and will be delivered on Wednesday, December 16th just in time for the holidays! It is critical that any outstanding donations are turned into the drop box ASAP. We cannot pay our bills and instructional staff without your contribution. Please communicate with Mr. Loney if you have any issues with your financial obligation. All Marching Band donations must be turned in to audition for the Winter Guard / Winter Drumline.

HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT 12/17
Join us on Thursday, December 17th at 7 p.m. in the Gahr High School MPR for our annual Holiday Band Concert! Get into the holiday spirit with performances by the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band! General admission is $5 at the door and helps cover the cost of our music. We'll also have tamales and a bake sale so come hungry :)
TubaChristmas is Saturday (12/19) at Downtown Disney and is optional for any baritone/euphonium, trumpet, or tuba players! Participant registration fee is $10 cash. Please let Mr. Loney know ASAP if you are interested and we can organize a carpool and coordinate transporting instruments, music stands, chairs, etc. We will be meeting at Gahr High School at 7:30AM to carpool.
