This week we have two performances: Tuesday evening (10/27) is the Mayfair Field Tournament at Bellflower High School. On Friday (10/30) is our last home football game AND Middle School Band Night! This Saturday (10/31) is our last Saturday rehearsal from 9:00AM-4:30PM where we'll be learning Mvt. 2 and working to complete our field show production.
STUDENTS: Our goal is to have the full Mvt. 2 by the Trabuco Hills Field Tournament on 11/7 - so make sure you plan ahead and have your music, drill, and choreography memorized individually.
PARENT/STUDENT VOLUNTEER WALK-THROUGH THIS WEDNESDAY!
This Wednesday (10/28) we have a mandatory Parent/Student Volunteer Walk-through at 6:30PM in the stadium. Students will be signing up for a job on Wednesday in class. We will split into jobs for training - concessions, parking, gate/tickets, hospitality, traffic control, show hosts, etc. This is a huge undertaking and we want to make sure we're well-prepared and organized BEFORE the tournament so it runs smoothly the day of.

Please make sure you've gotten the final donation of $125 turned into the Drop Box located in the Band Room. Checks are made payable to "Gahr Band Boosters." Donations are crucial so we can pay our instructional staff on time and register for field show tournaments. We cannot run the Gahr Instrumental Music Program without your donations.

Make sure you bring everything you need for the field show to school (polished marching shoes, long black socks, plain white t-shirt, compression/athletic shorts, Gahr Marching Gladiator hoodie / color guard jacket, $10-15 for concessions, filled 1-gallon water jug, etc.). Hydrate and get plenty of rest because it will be a long day. If possible, try and get ahead on your homework the day before or do it at break/lunch.
