We had a busy week of fundraisers and preparing for our upcoming shows! Thank you so much to all our amazing booster parents that came to Wednesday’s booster meeting (the highest attendance we’ve ever had at a general meeting!) and who helped this Saturday with prop building & flag sewing! We would also like to thank everyone who came to Chick-fil-A on Thursday to support the program. We raised over $375 for the band & color guard!
DISNEYLAND DATE CHANGE
Due to overbooking for the Disney Community Arts Showcase, our performance date has been moved to MONDAY, DECEMBER 7TH at Disney's California Adventure Park. We apologize for any inconvenience.
GAHR INVITATIONAL FIELD TOURNAMENT PROGRAM ADS!
Program Ads for the inaugural Gahr Invitational Field Tournament are due next Wednesday, October 21st! This is an awesome fundraiser and way for a business to advertise to the community or give a special "shout out" to your son/daughter at the last regular season show!! Students earn 50% of the profit from each ad sold! You can also think of it as a 50% discount if you want to dedicate part of the program to your student :) Program ads are also tax-deductible! All artwork and payment must be received by 10/21 to be included in the program.
LAST DONATION DUE MONDAY 10/19
The final donation of $125 is due next Monday, October 19th in the Drop Box located in the Band Room. We pushed this back a week from the original timeline to allow for mattress donations and money from Program Ads sold for the Gahr Invitational Field Tournament. Donations are crucial so we can pay our instructional staff on time and register for field show tournaments. We cannot run the Gahr Instrumental Music Program without your donations.

**The end time of a football game varies. The Gahr Marching Gladiators always stay until the end of the game to support our school and team. Please have your student call you for pick-up time or sign up for Remind text messages.

Make sure you have everything you need for the field show laid out and packed the night before (polished marching shoes, long black socks, plain white t-shirt, compression/athletic shorts, Gahr Marching Gladiator hoodie / color guard jacket, $10-15 for concessions, filled 1-gallon water jug, etc.). Do a mini-drill run-through of the show before you go to bed. Hydrate and get plenty of rest because it will be a long day!
PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Remember you are representing Gahr at all times. Never say anything bad about another group because you never know who is listening. While it is a competition, ultimately we are competing against ourselves, and we support our students regardless of the placement or score.
