Congratulations to the Gahr Marching Gladiators on another incredible season performing their 2018 field show production, "TOXIC." After earning 1st place last week in Division 5A Semi-Finals, Gahr competed this weekend at the California State Band Championship Finals. Gahr High School won 1st place in the Division 5A Finals with a score of 93.800, sweeping all the caption awards! Gahr advanced to the 4A/5A/6A State Finals and was once again crowned overall State Champion with a score of 95.55 and High Music Performance, High Visual Performance, High Visual Effect, High Music Effect, and High Auxiliary! This is the 6th straight Division Finals and 5th consecutive State Championship!!

Special thanks to the entire team of parents that made the props for this show and brought the TOXIC theme to life! Thank you to Gahr Principal Dr. Crechena Wise and Assistant Principal Mr. Adam Wright for coming out to support the band. Gahr is currently ranked 1st and will be moving on to CSBC Finals this Saturday at Huntington Beach High School. Please read below so you are prepared for our final field show performances. SENIOR DINNER THIS FRIDAY 11/16 AT OFF STREET CAFE!
Help us celebrate our awesome senior class THIS FRIDAY, November 16th at 6:30PM at the Off Street Cafe located at 11020 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703 (directly across the street from Gahr). Meals for the senior students will be covered by the band. Parents and immediate family members are invited to attend as well, but will need to pay for their dinner, which is priced at $25.00 each (due prior to the event). All dinners are preselected. BAND PHOTO DAY THIS SATURDAY 11/10!
Band and Color Guard photo day is Saturday, November 10th at 8:00AM. Students will change into full uniform and we will take the group photo followed by individual/buddy photos. Payment and order form must be submitted directly to the photographer at the time the photo is taken. Please make checks payable to "Apple Photography." Each student who wishes to be in a buddy or section photo must turn in $5 each.
CSBC SEMI-FINALS THIS SATURDAY 11/10
California State Band Championship Semi-Finals are this Saturday, November 10th. The site for our division is at El Modena High School, and Gahr performs at 7:30PM. We will have photos, lunch (provided), and then a rehearsal and run-through before loading.
