2014 WINTER DRUMLINE!
Congratulations everyone who auditioned for the battery and front ensemble of the Gahr Winter Drumline! We're very excited about our 2014 production, "Enemy of the State." If you were unable to attend our parent meeting on Saturday, this is the Welcome Packet that was handed out with important information about the season. The first payment of $150 is due this Friday, December 20th. This sets your spot in the drumline and allows us to register for competitions and buy a drumline floor.

HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT THURSDAY AT 7 P.M.
Join us this Thursday, December 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Gahr High School MPR for our annual Holiday Band Concert! Get into the holiday spirit with performances by the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Concert Band! General admission is $5 at the door and helps cover the cost of our music. All students must wear the school-provided concert tuxedos and gowns for performances. Guys must wear long, black dress socks and black dress shoes (black marching band shoes are also acceptable). Girls must wear black, dressy shoes. Professional, minimal jewelry and makeup is okay. If you have any questions about concert attire, please ask Mr. Loney well in advance of the performance. Students not wearing acceptable concert attire will not be allowed to perform and will receive a zero for the concert.

TUBACHRISTMAS THIS SATURDAY!
TubaChristmas is this Saturday (12/21) at Downtown Disney for any baritone/euphonium and tuba players! Participant registration fee is $10 cash. Please let Mr. Loney know ASAP if you are interested and we can organize a carpool and coordinate transporting instruments, music stands, chairs, etc. Click here for the flyer.

NOTE: Bring your own chair and music stand. Decorate your instruments, wear bright festive clothes. "All San Diego County tuba & euphonium players are encouraged to join us at Downtown Disney". Participant registration fee for 2013 is $10.00. Cash only accepted for registration, music etc. Driving instructions: Northbound - take Ball Road exit, turn right, bear to left turn lane, turn left on Ball Road to Disneyland Drive, turn left, turn right at first signal (Magic Way) "Downtown Disney" parking, turn left. Take parking ticket at gate and turn right into "Lilo" lot. Southbound - take Disneyland Drive exit, continue south to Magic Way and turn right, parking entrance on left, take parking ticket and turn right into Lilo lot. We suggest going on line to facebook address tubachristmasorangecounty and print the registration form, fill it out legibly before arriving to save time when registering. When warming up always face bell away from the "Disneyland Hotel". It is permissible to share music books, no music copies allowed. No entering performance area prior to 12:00 noon, registration badge required to enter. Absolutely no notes played until a downbeat is given by conductor at performance site. Please put all trash in provided containers. Enjoy yourself and others, and spread the word. We in memorium dedicate this TubaChristmas concert to our Coordinator Duwain (Pat) Paternoster.
