STUDENTS: We have a big week of rehearsal leading up to our first competition on Saturday. Please make sure you are getting ahead on your homework, staying hydrated, eating, and taking care of your health so that you are mentally and physically prepared for rehearsals.
MANDATORY PARENT/STUDENT WALK-THROUGH THIS WEDNESDAY
This Wednesday (9/28) we have a mandatory Parent/Student Walk-through at 6:30PM in the stadium. Students will be signing up for a job on Wednesday in class. We will split into jobs for training - concessions, parking, gate/tickets, hospitality, traffic control, show hosts, etc. This is a huge undertaking and we want to make sure we're well-prepared and organized BEFORE the tournament so it runs smoothly the day of. Thank you so much to the parents who have been helping us get to this point through our committee meetings! We're gearing up for a great show!
FIELD SHOW DONATION
We are asking each family to donate an item for the field tournament by section. If you would prefer to donate $5 cash, that will allow us to purchase anything we do not have enough of. Please turn in your item at Wednesday's Parent/Student Walk-through. Thank you in advance for your help in making our competition successful!
GAHR INVITATIONAL FIELD TOURNAMENT
This Saturday is the 2nd annual Gahr Invitational Field Tournament! This is a marching band competition hosted at Gahr High School and we need your help to make it successful! There are still several areas that we need volunteer help in, including concessions, parking, gate/tickets, hospitality, and traffic control. If you have not signed up for a job, PLEASE SIGN UP HERE: http://tinyurl.com/gahroctober1.
SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY: Students will have rehearsal from 8:30-11:00AM. Everyone has the afternoon off to eat and get ready. Set up starts at 1PM, gates open at 3PM, and the first band performs at 5PM. We will need all students following the awards presentation to help with clean up at approximately 9PM.
Mmm... Eat at Chipotle (on Artesia & Bloomfield) from 5-8PM AND Brusters Ice cream (on Artesia & Norwalk) this Thursday 9/29 and a portion will be donated to the Gahr Instrumental Music Program! Please show the attached flyer.
