Band Camp for EVERYONE starts this Monday (8/11) at 8 a.m. in the Gahr High School Band Room (703). Band Camp Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. All students MUST eat breakfast before they arrive, have a 1-gallon water jug, and wear a hat, comfortable clothing & athletic shoes. Students who do not have these items will be sent home for health/safety reasons. Students can bring $5 each day for lunch from the boosters or their own sack lunch. Please read all the documents below, and bring forms signed and the $125 Band Camp Donation (credit cards now accepted).

Congratulations to the Color Guard, Battery, and Front Ensemble on a great week of rehearsal and improvement! Color Guard is up to 17 members and the Battery is using all the drums we own with 4 snares, 2 quads, and 5 bass drums! We still have a few spots in the Front Ensemble including synthesizer and auxiliary percussion.

We have an important meeting this Wednesday, August 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Gahr High School MPR. Parents will receive the Band Handbook, meet our booster board, and receive updates on the Hawaii trip and upcoming fundraisers for the band. Find out what your son/daughter will be doing this year!

Due to the California drought, we will be canceling the Car Wash originally scheduled for Saturday, August 16th. Instead, we will be starting the Nut fundraiser earlier - beginning Monday, August 11th. Uniform Fitting will take place on Wednesday morning, August 20th, after students register for school in the MPR.
Thanks to everyone who came to last week's Band Picnic! If you didn't make it, you missed out on great food, parents vs. students softball, fun games, and of course, tug-of-war! Our next hang out will be Friday, August 22nd at 6 p.m. for a Beach Bonfire at Bolsa Chica!
