We have an important last week of Band Camp as finish wind auditions and continue to prepare for Wednesday's concert. Remember to eat a good breakfast and arrive 15-20 minutes early. Students must wear athletic clothes, athletic/tennis shoes (no sandals or converse), sunscreen, a hat, and bring a 1-gallon water jug. Bring $5 per day to receive lunch from the boosters.
All students should have submitted the $75 Las Vegas Deposit and the $125 Band Camp Deposit. If you are not caught up, please turn this in ASAP so we can pay our instructional staff, register for competitions, and continue to place our deposits for the Las Vegas Performance trip. Checks are made payable to "Gahr Band Boosters." You can also make payments online with a credit card.
BAND CAMP BBQ & SNEAK PREVIEW CONCERT THIS WEDNESDAY!
Come to our Band Camp BBQ & Sneak Preview Concert this Wednesday, August 24th! Just $5 per person includes BBQ chicken, potato salad, rolls, dessert, and a drink. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 6:30 p.m. at the GHS Spirit Stage (the outdoor stage in the quad with a Gladiator mural). RSVPs and money are due tomorrow, Monday, August 22nd. "DYNAMICS OF LEADERSHIP" WORKSHOP THIS FRIDAY!
We are excited to be offering the "Dynamics of Leadership" workshop this Friday, August 26th from 8AM-12PM. This is an intensive, 4-hour course that provides leadership training to students in the competitive marching arts. We are asking for $25 from all JUNIORS and SENIORS to help cover the cost of the clinician and class. Thank you.
BAND CAMP BEACH PARTY & BONFIRE THIS FRIDAY!
Come celebrate the end of a great Band Camp at our Band Camp Beach Party & Bonfire! We will be meeting at Bolsa Chica State Beach at 6PM, tentatively near PCH & Warner by Jack-in-the-Box. The exact location will be texted on Remind/Facebook. Carpool because there is a $15 charge for parking (or you can try to park nearby and walk). If you are getting dropped off you must have a ride back home!! Bring a towel, warm clothes, and the item listed on the flyer.
MARCHING BAND ORDERS
If you are a new student or a returner who needs a replacement item, please use the following order form. You may also order additional t-shirts, polos, hoodies, and jackets for friends and family. Winds, Battery, and Front Ensemble members are required to have black Marching Band Shoes, a Gahr Marching Gladiators Hoodie, and an embroidered Gahr Band Polo Shirt. All Color Guard members are required to have jazz shoes, guard gloves, the embroidered jacket, and sweatpants. Many of these items can be reused year after year if kept in good condition!

Students earn 50% of the profit from each ad sold! You can also think of it as a 50% discount if you want to dedicate part of the program to your student :) Program ads are also tax-deductible! All artwork and payment must be received by 9/14/16 to be included in the program.
