Weekly Update #8

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARENTS, STUDENTS, AND ALUMNI THAT MADE THE GAHR INVITATIONAL A HUGE SUCCESS!! We received nothing but positive comments about how friendly our parents were, how yummy the food was, and overall how smooth the tournament ran! We had tremendous support from our ALUMNI students and parents who stepped up to fill in where we needed help. All areas ran smoothly - from the spectator and VIP parking, the band check-in, bus and trailer parking, the new entrance/exit routes for the bands, stadium traffic, concessions and satellite concessions, the bake sale, Gladi-taters, cup-o-corn, jewelry, staff hospitality, Mr. Stockwell as our MC, and our fantastic student and alumni hosts. Thank you to the parents in charge of each area who began planning in committees months ago. It was incredible to see our alumni parents and students filling in as hosts, helping at hospitality, concessions, parking, check-in... you name it. We could not have done it without you! We would like to thank ABCUSD Board President, Ernie Nishii; ABCUSD Clerk of the Board, Sophia Tse; ABCUSD Board Member, Letty Mendoza; and new principal of Gahr High School, Ricardo Lois, for their attendance at the event. Please join us at our next booster meeting on Wednesday, November 6th where we will recap and celebrate all the great things about the tournament, as well as look for areas of improvement to make the next Gahr Invitational Field Tournament even smoother! Thank you all again for all your great work!
