Thank you to all the 7th and 8th graders that came out from Ross, Haskell, and Tetzlaff middle schools to participate in Gahr's Middle School Band Night! We had a huge turn out and great time playing in the stands with our future Gahr musicians! Thank you to our fabulous Middle School band directors for preparing their students - Mr. Brink, Mr. Battaglia, and Mr. Gullett! We look forward to you becoming a part of the Gahr Marching Gladiators!!
GREAT JOB MARCHING GLADIATORS!
Congratulations on AWESOME performances at Friday's Homecoming Pep Rally, Middle School Band Night, and the field show performances at our last home game! We have an important week of rehearsals as we prepare for the Huntington Beach High School "Surf City Open" Field Tournament this Saturday, November 2nd.
THANK YOU BOOSTERS!
We would like to thank all the parents who have helped with all our band booster fundraisers so far this season! You guys have made a huge difference and have done an unbelievable job raising funds for the Gahr Instrumental Music Program. Everything from boba, to kettle corn, to snow cones, to cotton candy, to electronic recycling, to car washes... On behalf of the students - Thank you!!
HOLIDAY NUT SALE STARTS MONDAY!

This can help fulfill outstanding obligations or to start fundraising for winter drumline or winter guard. Orders turned in by 11/8/13 will be delivered a week before the Thanksgiving break. Nut orders and payments in cash or check made payable to “J&N Nuts” must be turned in to Mr. Loney on or before end of day, Friday, November 8, 2013. JAZZ BAND
Now that football season is over, Jazz Band will be transitioning to concert tunes. If you are a doubler (flute, clarinet, etc.) please make sure you have your secondary instrument ready for this week :) Remember, student attendance and participation are the majority of your grade, so please make sure you arrive on time with your music prepared.
GAHR MARCHING BAND IN OC REGISTERThe Orange County Register did a short article on the success of the Gahr Marching Gladiators at our first field tournament!! Watch out for some awkward wording referring to Gahr High School being located in the city of Cerritos... http://www.ocregister.com/articles/place-531812-first-field.html
MR. LONEY WINS CICERO AWARD
Mr. Loney was nominated and won the "Cicero" award for Gahr High School Teacher of the Month! This is only possible because of the incredible hard work of our students, parents & staff!! Thank you to everyone for your dedication and commitment to music education.
