There were so many highlights from throughout the day - from the organized student and parent set up in the morning, the wonderful posters for each band, the professionally-dressed and helpful student escorts, the friendly and warm welcome at the check-in table, the non-stop work of the concessions stand and satellite concessions serving delicious food, the three Gahr-run vendors that were run so professionally, our entire parking team that expertly-packed every square-inch of blacktop with busses and trailers, all the parents who ran the stadium traffic and kept the bands moving smoothly and on schedule, the endless compliments from the directors and staff about the best hospitality they had ever experienced, and our MC team of Mr. Stockwell and Mr. Loureiro who did an amazing job announcing throughout the day.
I would like to thank all the parents for all the donations and for doing an incredible job running the competition! You've heard it before, but we truly have the best boosters. Thank you to the parents in charge of each area who began planning in committees more than 6 months ago! I would like to give a special thank you to all our alumni parents and students who helped make this event possible - filling in as student escorts for later bands, judge running, shout outs, check-in... you name it. Thank you.
I hope to see you all this Wednesday, October 4th at our next booster meeting where we will recap and celebrate all the great things about the tournament, as well as look for areas of improvement to make the next Gahr Invitational Field Tournament even smoother! If you are a senior parent, we expect to see you at the next one!! Thank you all again for all your great work!
