Thank you to all the parents that came out to Wednesday's meeting! Our band booster organization is one of the few ways you can be actively involved in your child’s high school education. It's a great way to connect with your student and support an activity that they're passionate about. Your most important contribution will always be your presence. Simply being involved sends a powerful message to your son or daughter.
- All students MUST complete and turn in the Gahr HS Athletics Packet to be enrolled. If you have not picked one up (or turned it in), please see Dulce Caldwell in the front office ASAP. Students will need to complete a physical that can be done at any walk-in clinic (usually without an appointment) for $10-15.
- Gahr HS Registration for the marching band is this Wednesday at 6:45AM in the MPR - DO NOT BE LATE. Ignore your normal registration day. Students need to have all registation materials filled out, as well as a check to Gahr High School for $75 (this covers $50 for ASB and $25 for transportation).
- It is a very demanding time of year. The kids and staff are working very hard to achieve excellence. As parents, we can help in many ways. One important example is to drop off your kids on time. Kids and staff will appreciate your timeliness.
Gahr High School Band and Color Guard is having a Mattress Sale Fundraising Event on Sunday, October 12th, 2014. It runs from 10am to 5pm at Gahr High School in the MPR! This is a great opportunity to raise money for the Band and Color Guard. We have a goal of $10,000.00 and it is ATTAINABLE!

BEACH BONFIRE THIS FRIDAY AT 6PM!
We're stopping rehearsal early this Friday for a Beach Bonfire at Bolsa Chica State Beach at 6PM! This is a great chance for both students and families to get together and celebrate a great two weeks of Band Camp! We will be at a fire pit closest to PCH and Warner (park at the Jack in the Box on the corner).
